RealMyst.
When the worldwide hit computer game Myst took its first steps into 3D with RealMyst, Universal Head was asked to create a website that would bring the excitement and mystery of the franchise to the web. We created this fully interactive Flash-driven site (a complete HTML version was also created as an alternative), which was quite ahead of its time in the year 2000.
The challenge was not only to create something that would satisfy the legions of Myst fans, but to create visuals that were in keeping with the style of the game and yet wholly original. Using a combination of photographic textures and 3D animation, Universal Head created a site that is almost a game in itself, featuring a completely original animated intro that refers to game elements that the fans would know and love.
